Lunar New Year is not only the replacement of seasons and time but also families’ togetherness with reviewing and outlooking. The Spring Festival is not just a festival for all the Chinese people but also the moment for the world to know more about China.
Legal Lunar New Year holiday now are spreading in Vietnam , South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia . Spring Festival holiday was listed among public national holiday in Indonesia in 2002 and Philippines, 2005.
Besides Asian countries, not a few states in America set the Spring Festival as a legal state holiday. New York State, as an example set the Spring Festival as a legal school holiday in 2014, the first legal Chinese holiday in the history of the United States. Calls for setting Lunar New Year as America’s national legal holiday even appear in Chinese community. At present nearly 20 countries and districts have set the Spring Festival as a legal holiday in the whole or some of the administrative cities. Lunar New Year is becoming more and more international.
