72 Famous Springs

There are surging more than one hundred springs in Jinan city. And the statement of 72 famous springs has been existing for long time. In fact, the records from scholars of different dynasties are not consistent. The number of springs in Jinan is also more than 72. Only in downtown area, more than one hundred springs are existing there. Baotu Spring, Heihu Spring, Zhenzhu Spring, Wulong Tan and Baimai Spring are the main components of Jinan 72 Springs. Other springs exist in other places of Jinan. In our country， Jinan is a rare city with so many springs. 733 natural springs are situated in Jinan administrative district(including suburban areas). Numerous clear and luscious spring water effuse from this city, and gather together, forming rivers and lakes.
