Open 200 ETC Driveways till 2015
In the future, it will be more convenient for citizens of our province passing highway toll stations. On Nov，9, the provincial government issued "Shandong Energy Conservation of twelfth five-year plan". According to the plan, in the "twelfth five-year plan" period, Shandong will open 200 ETC driveways (no parking electronic toll collection system) in order to improve the vehicle identification ability and speed of passing the stations to reduce fuel consumption of the vehicle.
As it is known that ETC is connected with the microwave communication equipment in the ETC driveways through car tags and IC cards to realize the automatic no-parking toll collection system. This system can charge 800 to 1200 vehicle each hour, equivalent to 3-5 manual operation driveways working together. It can avoid cash payment and save time and loss. When using the ETC system, chargement will be done through the installation in vehicle windscreen car unit, the use of wireless communication and computer networking technology settlement processing without parking.
During the "eleventh five-year plan", Shandong had opened 134 ETC driveways. According to planning of the energy-saving "twelfth five-year plan", Shandong will continue to promote energy-saving traffic products and open 200 ETC driveways in order to improve the vehicle identification ability and the speed of passing the stations to reduce fuel consumption of the vehicle.
