Eighth Jinan Skiing Culture Festival Opened
The eighth Jinan Skiing Culture Festival Opened today. The largest winter tourism event of our city was officially launched. Jinxiang Mountain Skiing Park, Wohu Mountain Skiing Park and Jiuding Tower Skiing Park all opened for the visitors, created Skiing Culture Festival together, to promote winter tourism in Jinan.
This year's Skiing Culture Festival is jointly organized by Licheng District Government and the Municipal Bureau of Tourism, with the theme of Passionate Skiing, Sharing Joy, which is one of our city's key winter tourism culture events and an important component of the Third Hospitality Shandong New Year Activities. This Culture Festival will end on 20th, February, 2012, lasting for two months. Jinxiang Mountain Skiing Park, Wohu Mountain Skiing Park and Jiuding Tower Skiing Park which are located in mountain areas of southern Jinan will hold rich and colorful activities of ice & snow tourism. Jinxiang Mountain Skiing Park will hold a series of activities, including the Third Ice & Snow Beauty Contest, Snow Photography Contest, Romantic Christmas Carnival Feast, Downhill Skiing Race, Passionate New Year's Ice & Snow Carnival. Jiuding Tower Skiing Park will hold seven festival activities, such as Skiing Feast, Ghosts Feast, Christmas Feast, New Year's Blessing Meeting, Happy Chinese New Year, Lantern Festival and Valentine's Day. The newly-opened Wohu Mountain Skiing Park will supply a free teaching area and public skiing classes for new skiers, and they will also host the Third Open Skiing Contest.
Skiing Tourism is an important part of our city's winter tourism. Jinan Skiing Culture Festival is the key festival brand of our city's winter tourism. With eight year's development, it has had a certain influence on the surrounding provinces and cities. Our city will focus on holding a series of winter tourism activities, such as a Skiing Tour, Hot Spring Tour, Folk-custom Tour, Strawberry Picking, plum blossom enjoying & purchases for the Spring Festival, etc, to enrich the winter tourism market.
