Jinan Tourist Satisfaction Ranks Ninth Nationwide
Recently, the National Tourism Administration announced the national tourist satisfaction survey report in the third quarter, Jinan ranks ninth in 50 key tourism cities. Jinan strengthened urban marketing, built brand of springs, integrated advantageous resources, promote "Spring City", and its tourist satisfaction rank upgraded 21 in a year.
Top 10 of national tourist satisfaction cities in the third quarter are: Suzhou, Xiamen, Huangshan, Shenyang, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Guilin, Ningbo, Jinan and Wuxi. Jinan is the only city ranked Top 10 in Shandong Province. Its rank upgraded 36, compared with that of the first quarter in 2010, became the fatest city in rank upgrading. In 2011, Jinan constantly optimized the urban construction and management, improved the environment for tourism development, highlighted spring water resources, improved tourism functions and quality of tourism services, effectively enhanced tourist satisfaction, strengthened the city's soft power. At present, "Spring City" has enjoyed a good reputation both at home and abroad.
Last year, the Municipal Tourism Bureau led the establishment of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail cities' travel union, functioning as "Connect South and North, Serve both two ends", expanded the tourist market and improved tourism attention and influence. At the same time, the Municipal Tourism Bureau established Jinan One-day Tour Service Center to promote the facilitation of tourism services and built new platform for tourism service. In 2011, Jinan newly constructed 48 tourism projects, and the tourism hardware support had been improving. The Municipal Tourism Bureau collected 80 citizen to monitor tourism market, organized 40 superstar interviewers to secretly interviewed one hundred star-rated restaurants, rectified tourism market in multi-channel and multi-form, strengthened and perfected exit mechanism in tourism industry, continuously optimized tourism development environment.
