Jinan Promotes Construction of 100 Museums

　　In order to implement the goal and task of "Adopting market-oriented methods, mobilizing social forces to build 100 characteristic museums in different categories" in 5 years which was proposed in this year's Government Work Report, leading members from Jinan Municipal Propaganda Department, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Bureau of Finance, Municipal Planning Bureau and Municipal Housing Commission, visited 4 museums including Shandong Post and Telecomminications Museum and Jinan Commercial Culture Museum, had a special discussion, and provided useful suggestions for advancing construction of 100 museums. Tan Yanwei, member of the Municipal Standing Committee, minister of Municipal Propaganda Department, participated in this activity and addressed, and deployed the work of next step.

　　Yestoday morning, leading members from Jinan Municipal Propaganda Department, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Bureau of Finance, Municipal Planning Bureau and Municipal Housing Commission, had a on-the-spot investigation of 4 museums including Shandong Post and Telecomminications Museum and Jinan Commercial Culture Museum, Xigu Hall and Hong Jitang Museum, and held a special discussion. Tan Yanwei stressed that we should fully understand the importance and urgency of building museums in our city, continously improve public supplying ability and level of public culture products of our city's museums. We should take effective measures to promote the construction of museums, make great efforts on investigating works, seriously study and appraise the feasibility, and make those new museums to meet the needs of the mass. At the same time, the museums should pay attention to market management, realize sustainable development, drive urban-rural interaction, be new light spots in promoting development mode shift of regional economy and culture, and become tourist destinations.
