Jinan Opens Round-the-clock Self-service Library

　　Recently, Jinan opened round-the-clock self-service library. It is learnt that this new-style library possesses hundreds of books, readers can enjoy self-services including borrowing books, returning books and applying for library cards, and the library overcomes geographic and time restrictions of traditional libraries. In the future, citizens in Jinan can realize "Read Whenever You Want". Self-service library adopted RFID technology and developed self-service equipments, it allowed readers apply the library cards by themselves using 2nd-generation ID card, it also realized self-service borrowing, self-service returning, automatic shelving, renewal and reservation, which greatly shortens the time for circulation service, breaks through geographic and time restrictions of traditional libraries.
