Jinan Quancheng Road: "Golden Street" Changed Radically in 10 Years
Speaking of commercial street in Jinan, Quancheng Road can't be ignored. In a sense, Quancheng Road was the commercial representitive of Jinan in the 20th centrury, Jinan citizens were proud of this bustling street in quite long time. However, when we entered the new century, the old & narrow street and low & crude houses along the street, couldn't match the image of modern capital city, which largely restricted the development of surrounding areas.
On 28th September, 2002, Quancheng Road "Golden Street" changed radically after the reconstruction in more than one years and with total investment of over 0.61 billion yuan. As one of the most important parts of Jinan, as a commercial street with a history of several hundred years, each small change of Quancheng Road affects the hearts of Jinan citizens. On today's Quancheng Road, ancient and modern buildings integreted with each other, business cultures of ancient and modern times derived from the same origin.
