Jinan Completed This Year's Afforestation Task on Barren Hills

      Afforestation in rainy season, historic breakthrough has been realized during this year. Afforestation project on brren hills in the southern montain areas is one of the ten key projects for our city to become national forest city. Since entering the rainy season, forestry departments in each county (city) have been making good use of the time with plenty raifall and nice soil condition, and meticulously organizing the afforestation work. Up to now, our city has completed afforestation in 82,000 mu, planting more than 1.78 million trees including arborvitae and cotinus coggygria scop. We totally accomplished the afforestation task of this year, and finished the biggest affrestation area in recent years. Among them, Licheng district accomplished 22,100 mu, Changqing district finished 22,000 mu, Shizhong district completed 5,000 mu, Zhangqiu city planted 28,000 mu, Pinyin county finished 5,000 mu, and Jinan Forest Farm accomplished 600 mu.
