Jinan Continues Reducing Number of School-choosing Students
On March 4, Jinan Municipal Education Bureau released the notice of Schools and School Districts Adjustment and Publicity for Compulsory Education, explicitly indicated for the first time that the enrolling rate of school age children of permanent residents shouldn't be lower than 90%, in compulsory schools, especially compulsory schools with good quality educational resources. It means that the education department continues reducing the number of School-choosing students in the nine-year compulsory education in primary and junior high school.
Selecting schools has been concerned by parents and the society in recent years. It is learnt that the education department has been reducing the number of students who choose other schools.
Later on, Jinan pointed out that selecting schools in other districts is not allowed in the recruiting document of 2011, each school should conducting recruit work strictly by designated school districts.
On March 4 of this year, Jinan continues reducing the number of school-choosing students. The enrolling rate of school age children of permanent residents shouldn't be lower than 90%, in compulsory schools, especially compulsory schools with good quality educational resources. The schools which can't be enrolled with enough students, can apply for becoming designated school for children of migrant workers.
