The World's Best Spring Become National AAAAA Scenic Spot

　　The National Tourism Scenic Spot Quality Grade Evaluation Committee announced the World's Best Spring to be national AAAAA scenic spot on August 15, 2013. On the morning of August 19th, the identification items of national AAAAA scenic spot were fixed in the main entrances of the scenic spot.

　　The World's Best Spring Scenic Spot consists of one river (the City Moat), one lake (Daming Lake), three springs (Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring and Five-dragon Pond) and four parks (Baotu Spring Park, Huancheng Park, Five-dragon Pond Park and Daming Lake) and covers a total area of 3.1 square kilometers. As an embodiment of the unique landscape of natural water springs and a profound historical and cultural heritage, it forms an important part of the characteristics of Jinan.

　　On the news conference held on August 20th, the commemorative envelopes, postcards and spring water dolls made official debut for the first time, which are souvenirs of becoming national AAAAA scenic spot. The spring water dolls are in three colors, green, pink and blue, their names are Baobao, Dudu and Quanquan. "The price of the ticket for the World's Best Spring scenic spot keeps the same at present", said Han Yongjun, director of Jinan Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry. The environment and service will be improved significantly. Jinan Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry has been discussing with Jinan Municipal Tourism Administration and Jinan Municipal Pricing Bureau to offer discount tickets for the tourists during the Spring Water Festival and the 10th China Art Festival.
