16 new designated schools for children of migrant workers in Jinan

　　According to the statistics of this September after the enrollment of the new students, at present, 89000 children of migrant workers are studying in compulsory education schools in the five downtown districts in Jinan, accounting for 30.13 percent of the total students. With the continuous increase of migrant workers in Jinan, the education of their children has been revealed. Jinan Municipal Education Bureau integrates various educational resources to solve this problem.

　　Jinan Municipal Education Bureau carried out specific rectification of remaining problems of the educational facilities in residential areas. Up to now, the educational department has received 103 educational facilities transferred by development units, and recovered education land in 1987.16 mu, solved the educational problems of children of the migrant workers in newly-built and rebuilt residential areas. Moreover, the educational department allocated special funds and increased 16 more designated schools for children of the migrant workers, the total number of the designated schools reached 82. Children Education Window has been set up in migrant worker service center.
