Shandong sets up 681 million yuan special fund to support preschool education

It is learned that 681 million yuan special fund consists of 3 sections. 44.97 million yuan is for preschool education development award and subsidy, which is mainly used for constructing and transforming public kindergartens, supplying public kindergartens with facilities for caring, education and livelihood, supporting  kindergartens of state-owned enterprises & institutions and collective kindergartens to provide general services to the society, offering awarding grants to the kindergartens which receipt children of migrant workers; 22 million yuan is for the development of private kindergartens, mostly for the development of private kindergartens which supply public services for the society by means of government purchasing services or awards, improving the conditions of private kindergartens, buying toys and teaching aids, paying for rents, improving teachers’ wages, carrying out education training, and expanding preschool education resources via pattern of public institutions constructing private kindergartens; Township(street) Center kindergartens will be granted for 1.13 million yuan by inspection and acceptance of provincial demonstrative kindergarten.
