The longest double arch underground tunnel in China is taking its shape.

　　Yesterday the second phase of tunnel engineering, part of the high-profiled south-extension of Shunhe Viaduct project was under busy construction and the longest double arch underground tunnel in China is taking its shape. Since the start of this construction the east and west tunnel have been tunneled 70 meters and 140 meters respectively. According to the project plan this engineering will be completed by the end of 2017 when the south-and–north traffic situation in Ji’nan will be upgraded a lot.
