Festive lantern fair opens in Jinan

Lanterns from the festive lantern show in Licheng district of Jinan, provincial capital of Shandong.

Toys and various works of art attract local people to the fair.

　　The 23rd Spring Festive Lantern Fair opened on Feb 4, 2012 in Licheng district of Jinan, Shandong province.

　　The lantern fair is composed of five major activities: a lantern show, a lantern riddle game, a photo exhibition on intangible cultural heritage, a folk artworks exhibition and art performances. Over 600 lanterns are exhibited at the lantern show and the fair will last until Feb 7, 2012.
