Qingdao plans to build national ecological city

　　Qingdao has published the Three-year Plan (2014-2016) for Qingdao to Build National Ecological City. According to this plan, in 2016, Qingdao will be built as the ecological city of Shandong Province and lay solid foundation to be the National Ecological City in 2017.

　　The plan emphasizes on promoting the functions of industry cluster and service industry cluster and constructing key economic function districts. It also stresses on acceleration of service industry and making full use of its support to urban development and improving people's livelihood.

　　Demonstration area of eco-tourism is to be built and the layout of “three cities and two routes” will be implemented.

　　There are many tasks on pollution control, clean energy, ecological construction that need to be finished in these three years.
