Mini sea water desalination device to be put into mass production in Qingdao
The production of sea water desalination device production line of Qingdao Huaxuan Environmental Protection Technology Co. Ltd. located at Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone was recently listed as key national energy saving project and major demonstration projects of recycling economy and resource conservation and got 7.8 million Yuan support fund. It is learned that the project which is expected to be completed in 2015 is the first sea water desalination device production line with the production capacity of 750 membrane distillation (MD) devices in China. The mini desalination device can be widely used in vessels, island residents and coastal agricultural areas and residential areas lack of freshwater resource.
According to Chen Chuanhao, the general engineer of Huaxuan Company, reverse osmosis method, namely, the water molecules is filtered through a semipermeable membrane with external pressure and the salt and other macromolecules remain in the original solution is currently wised used desalination technology. ? The sea water desalination device production line under construction is using reverse osmosis method to get drinkable fresh water from sea water through ultrafiltration device, reverse osmosis and energy recycling devices.?, said the engineer.
The sea water desalination cost of the device can be restricted to 6-7 Yuan/ ton, but it is still higher than the present tap price, therefore it is more suitable to small-scale application on vessel and area that is lack of water supply instead of constructing large-scale engineering.
In recent years, a batch of national sea water desalination demonstration projects are implemented in Qingdao, Qingdao government is drafting a sea water desalination equipment manufacturing industry development plan in an effort to realize production value 2 billion Yuan by 2015, accounting 25% of the sea water desalination equipment market in China.
