Qingdao Sino - German Ecopark inks three projects
In the afternoon of October 10, 2014, at Sino- German Economic Forum held in Germany, Qingdao Sino- German Ecopark signed DGNB Sustainable Architecture Cooperation, Germany Irmler Piano Research and Production and Sino-German Start-Up University. This is another substantive achievement made by Qingdao West Coast New Area in Sino –Germany innovation culture industry cooperation after signing of the Passive House project in this July.
The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen e.V.) is the most stringent sustainable building standard and the world highest level second generation green architecture assessment and certification system, it covers the whole industrial chain of the construction industry including green ecology, construction economy and building function & social culture etc. The German Enterprise Center project which is under construction in Qingdao Sino- German Ecopark is the world largest complex that wins DGNB gold certificate.
Germany Irmler Piano Research and Production project has a total investment of 75 million USD and the high end product of its parent company: Blüthner Piano is deemed as a national treasure by German government. Irmler Piano (China) Co intends to make investment and construction Irmler Piano research, production and exhibition facilities as well as a performance hall. And the company also plans to hold Irmler International Piano Open Championship at Qingdao West Coast New Area.
Sino-German Start-Up University is a cooperative project among BiTS University of Laureate Education Group, Qingdao Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Qingdao Sino- German Ecopark, the Phase I project will cover a plot of 500 Mu with investment of 800 million Yuan. Based upon the global network and resources of Laureate Education, Sino-German Start-Up University targets to become a leading international start-up school in China and attract talents who want to start their business in China and Asia at large to study in the school.
