Qingdao in partnership with South Korea
The coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, signed a memorandum of understanding on an industrial park with South Korea’s Land and Housing Corp, on Oct 23, to increase Sino-Korean cooperation in urban construction, where the two plan to build a creative industrial park in Qingdao’s West Coast New Area, using advanced South Korean design concepts to develop the China-South Korea Trade Cooperation Zone.
The Land and Housing Corp is South Korea’s largest department in urban construction, with vast experience in urban development and new countryside construction.
Taking part in the signing ceremony were Zhang Xinqi, Qingdao’s mayor, representatives of the Land and Housing Corp, and Hwang Seung Hyun, consul general for South Korea in Qingdao.
