Shandong city gets its first 'French' shopping mall
Thanks to help from the Chinese and French governments, the city of Qingdao, Shandong province, opened China's first French shopping mall, in its HNA Wangbang Center, on Nov 20, with the expectations of promoting French business and culture.
The 2,418-square-meter mall is a combination of catering, business, and travel information with many French brands, such as Cristallerie de Montbronn, Interior’s and Anne de Solene, on display.
Jean Leviol, a minister-counselor of economic and financial affairs at France's embassy in Beijing, was on hand for the opening ceremony and praised the shopping mall by saying that it will contribute to economic, cultural, education, and tourism cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
