Li Qun meets guests from Japan

　　n the afternoon of January 16, 2015, Li Qun, the Party chief of Qingdao, met with a delegation led by Hideo Takasaki, chairman of Nitto Denko Corporation, at the municipal office building.

　　Mr. Li first congratulated the establishment of Nitto (Qingdao) R & D Center. He said at present, the city is transforming the pattern of economic development and stressing the importance of innovation to adapt to a slower yet more sustainable growth. As a world leading innovator, Nitto Denko has a promising cooperation prospect with local enterprises in modern machinery manufacturing, marine medicine and marine chemical. The establishment of Nitto (Qingdao) R & D Center will become a new start point of the cooperation between the two sides.

　　Hideo Takasaki hailed the good policies and basic infrastructure and huge development potentialities of Qingdao. He said Nitto Denko Corporation will give play to its technical advantages in new energy, environment protection and modern agriculture to carry out in-depth cooperation with local enterprises in Qingdao.

　　Toyama Shigeru, Consul General of Japan in Qingdao and other municipal leading officials Wang Guangzheng, Wang Luming and Chen Fei also attended the meeting.

　　After the meeting, Li Qun and Hideo Takasaki unveiled the plaque together for Nitto (Qingdao) R & D Center.
